As an approved service provider Alpha is charged with ensuring all Family Day Care Educators remain compliant in accordance with the National Quality Standards, in all aspects of providing care including but not limited to:
- Educational Program & Practice
- Children’s Health & Safety
- Physical Environment
- Staffing Arrangements
- Relationships with Children
- Collaborative Partnerships with Families
We are passionate about early childhood education and care and the role we play in teaching children the important skills necessary to learn and progress successfully into school, while maintaining a loving and fun care environment.
Our selection process and ongoing support to both families and educators aims to ensure all children are receiving the best quality care and education possible.
Available for children from 6 weeks to 13 years of age, Family Day Care provides a nurturing, safe, family environment in which your child’s discovery and learning is supported through being cared for and educated by a registered and qualified educator, personally selected by you.
- A smoother continuity of care between home and day care is easily achieved, with Educators able to adapt their care around regular routines your child feels comfortable and familiar with.
- Children are involved in the local community through child focussed, local excursions, providing experience based learning and fun.
- Open communication and daily conversations between parents and educators ensures children’s care is consistent and supports the family’s home life.
- Family Day Care Educators are part of a national network of education and care professionals, who have access to support and resources via Alpha Family Day Care Services.
- Educators program play experiences that cater for your child’s individual needs and interests, supporting their development, while having the freedom for spontaneous play and exploration throughout the day.
- Children are encouraged to develop a love of learning and their sense of wonder and curiosity is used as a platform for education.
- The Family Day Care environment encourages socialising in a small mixed age group where unlike in Long Day Care, siblings of differing age can remain together, providing the comfort of a “home away from home” environment, allowing for an easy transition into childcare.

- Weekend, overnight and out of normal hours care.
